Hawaii happens to be somewhat of an anomaly in that it is the only area of the world that produces coffee that is not located between the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn. One of the its famous coffee brands, known as "Kona", is grown in Hawaii which lies just north of the Tropic of Cancer."

I grew up in Hawaii and I can tell you, that Hawaiian coffee is some GOOD STUFF.

Now that sugar and pineapple are being produced elsewhere, they're growing some GOOD coffee in Wahiawa, Wailua, Haleiwa, etc. It's good to see. Even on the island of Oahu, which has most of Hawaii's population, there are HUGE areas with NO people, that could grow coffee. And chocolate, vanilla, other tropical goodies.

Give some Kona a try!
